Tyrrell’s 2006 Broken back Shiraz

Tyrrell’s Wines 2006 Hunter Valley Broken Back Shiraz
A very dark black cherry in colour with great depth showing no evidence of its 10 years of age. Nice cedar oak up front, rich ripe boysenberries with hints of dry new leather. All tell tales signs of a true Hunter Valley shiraz. Dark forests fruit jump on to the palate with a full rich mouth feel and a little of that brown leafy forest floor under growth. The tannins are firm but balanced to a full and long finish. We enjoyed this with slow braised beef ribs. Yummolicious 17/20 cheers Gaz
