MATUA 2014 Marlborough Chardonnay

A bright shimmering white gold in colour with an alluvial richness that beckons me. Ripe apricots with bready lee’s and a smack of new oak, WOW I’m excited and hoping this all flows through to the palate. Rich, full and viscose coating the whole mouth with ripe apricots and melons. The oak is chewy but in balance as is the acid, this is my style of Chardy as it just keeps giving with a super long finish. This wine is punching way above its weight and I would suggest a dish with bold flavours like chicken cacciatore. 19/20 Yummolicious cheers Gaz
