Domaine Tournon 2009  Victorian Shiraz / Syrah

This wines colour is like the juice of a dark blood plum just cut an allowed to seep on to a white china plate, the nose is full of ripe cherries with a little marzipan followed by some earthiness, the palate is like the nose the cherries are sweet like dark ones on a black forest cake, some oak and earth in there. It is full and broad making it quite a big wine as might be expected from its Heathcote origin. We actually enjoyed this wine one sunny avo with cured meats and aged cheeses. Cheers Gaz
