D’Arenberg 2009 The footbolt Shiraz

The colour is a dark garnet with great depth like coats of two-pack with a polished finish. On the first sniff there are loads of dark boysenberries & black berries followed by some warming alcohol vapours and dusty penicil shavings. The palate is full of dark fruits, a bit chewy with a punch of flavour towards the finish and a nice balance of underlying oak. I’m thinking braised beef shins on a cold night.        Cheers Gaz
