Brands Laira 2012 Cabernet Merlot

The colour is dark purple just like freshly squeezed blackberries, it has great depth and a nice shine. New oak pops out first closely followed by notes of red liquorice, green leafiness and just a slight wift of choc-mint cookies. Broad, silky smooth and long lasting. A complex array of dark berries, oak and a twang of green twigs. It is a lovely wine and great value for money @ $15 from Dan’s. It matched well with our Osso Bucco on the night. 16/20 cheers Gaz
