Pepik 2010 Pinot Noir, Tasmania, Aust

Upon removing the capsule an aroma of spicy oak leaps from the bottle, “yummy give me more Josef Chromy”. A few minutes in the glass & some swirls around out pops some dark plums & gamey bacon with a back bone of spicy French oak, thanks Josef. With a lovely Ruby/Garnet colour, a full and silky feel combining in harmony with ripe plums & dark cherries, spicy oak, nice tannins & acid indicating potential for aging. But why wait its lovely now, a very nice example of a cool climate P/N. Cheers Gaz
