Made by “Some young Punks” I found comments on 2 earlier vintages of this wine so I’m guessing young grad’s from Roseworthy? I love it, flying in the face of wine snobbery.
Golden in colour just a shade under my wedding ring. Apricot with
its blossom jumps from the glass, followed by some chalk dust with a hint of kerosene
that’s a surprise from such a young Riesling.
Very
full on the palate and quite viscose in the mouth. Luscious ripe lychees with
some lemon zing that nicely balances the acid for a clean feel. There’s a
couple of points of residual sugar that all comes together in perfect harmony,
don’t be scared off by the label as this is a great wine I’m looking forward to
finding some more. 18/20 Cheers Gaz
