Wow a blast from the past. I visited this
cellar door nearly 20 years ago when it was flying high. It is a shiny light
gold in colour, some fresh peaches and apricot blossom on the nose, a little
lime stone come out after some time in the glass. On the palate there is some
fleshy not quite ripe apricots and tinned peaches in the syrup, it lingers for
a while with a clean finish of balanced citrus acidity and no oak to be seen. A
fresh and clean chardonnay well suited to a warm calamari salad. Cheers Gaz
